Install a BizzyAI skill in Claude, ChatGPT or any AI
By the end of this guide, one BizzyAI skill is installed and working in your AI tool. Time needed: about 5 minutes per skill. No technical skills needed.
What a skill is: saved instructions that teach your AI to do one job your way, for example “draft a reply to a customer email”. You install it once, and the AI uses it whenever that job comes up. You download it as a zip file (one compressed file). Don’t unzip or rename it unless a step says so.
Which route is for you?
| You use | Route | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise | A. Install in Claude | 5 minutes |
| ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu | B. Install in ChatGPT | 5 minutes |
| Gemini with a personal Google account | D. Install in Gemini (where skills already show) | 5 minutes |
| Gemini with a Google Workspace work account | C. Paste into a Gem | 3 minutes |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat with a work account | C. Paste into a Copilot agent | 5 minutes |
| Claude Free, ChatGPT Free, Go, Plus or Pro, or any other AI | C. Paste into a Project | 3 minutes |
On Claude Free, try route A first. If you don’t see Skills under Customize, use route C (Claude Help).
Keep the zips in one shared folder in OneDrive, SharePoint or Google Drive, so the whole team uses the same version.
A. Install in Claude (web and desktop app)
-
Switch on code execution (once). Skills need it.
- Pro or Max: open Settings, then Capabilities. Turn on Code execution and file creation.
- Team or Enterprise: an Owner opens Organization settings > Plugins & skills, clicks Policy and turns on Cloud code execution and file creation and Skills.
-
Download the zip from the issue’s Skills page.
-
In Claude, open Customize, then Skills.
-
Click +, then + Create skill, then Upload a skill. Select the zip.
-
If the skill shows Turn on, click it.
What you’ll see: the skill under Created by you, with an on/off switch.
If the upload fails, download the zip again and upload it unchanged. To share it on Team or Enterprise, click … next to the skill, then Share.
B. Install in ChatGPT
Skills work on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, Healthcare and Edu, if your workspace allows them (OpenAI Help). On Free, Go, Plus and Pro, use route C.
-
Download the zip from the issue’s Skills page.
-
In ChatGPT, click Plugins in the sidebar, then the Skills tab.
-
Click Create, then Upload from your computer. Select the zip.
What you’ll see: after Create, three options: Create with chat, Create with editor and Upload from your computer.
-
The skill appears under Created by me. To share it, click ••• next to it, then Share.
If the zip is refused, or you don’t see Plugins or Skills, ask your workspace admin to switch skills on.
C. Paste into a Project, Gem or Copilot agent (every AI, every plan)
You save the skill’s text once as instructions, and they apply every time you use that Project, Gem or agent.
- Double-click the zip to open it. Open the text file inside (it’s called
SKILL.md) in Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac). Copy all the text. - Paste it as the instructions:
-
ChatGPT (all plans, including Free): click New project in the sidebar and name it after the skill. Click •••, then Project settings. Paste into the instructions and save (OpenAI Help).
-
Claude (all plans; Free allows up to five projects): open Projects and click + New Project. Click Set project instructions, paste, then Save instructions (Claude Help).
-
Gemini (personal or Google Workspace account): on gemini.google.com, open the sidebar, click Gems, then New Gem. Enter a name, paste the text as instructions and click Save (Gemini Help). In Google Workspace, Gems come with Business Standard and higher (Google Workspace pricing).
What you’ll see: a preview panel on the right to test the Gem before you save it.
-
Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat (work account): go to microsoft365.com/chat or open Copilot in Teams. Choose Create agent (or New agent), then the Configure tab. Enter a name, paste the text into Instructions and click Create (Microsoft Learn). An agent that only follows instructions costs nothing extra; one that reads your SharePoint files does (Microsoft Learn).
-
Microsoft Copilot with a personal account, or any other AI: paste the text at the start of a new chat. Ask for the job in your next message.
-
- From now on, do that job inside the Project, Gem or agent.
Share it: a Gem or a Copilot agent has a Share button. Add your colleagues’ names or email addresses (Gemini Help, Microsoft Learn).
D. Install in Gemini or in Copilot in Excel
- Gemini, personal Google account: on gemini.google.com, open Settings, then Skills. Click Upload and select the zip. Google is rolling skills out gradually, not yet for work or school accounts, and Keep Activity must be on (Gemini Help). If you don’t see Skills, use a Gem (route C).
- Copilot in Excel (for spreadsheet skills): in the Copilot pane, click …, then Manage plugins & skills, Custom skills and Create OneDrive folder. Click Open skills folder, unzip the download and copy its folder in. This works only when Office is set to English (Microsoft Support).
Check that it works (2 minutes)
-
Start a new chat (inside the Project, Gem or agent for route C).
-
Ask for the job in your own words: “Draft a reply to this customer email: [paste an email without personal data].”
-
Look for the skill’s habits: it asks for missing facts one at a time and uses CHF and dates like 09.10.2026.
-
If the AI ignores the skill: in Claude or Gemini, type
/and pick the skill. In ChatGPT, name it (“Use the customer reply drafter skill to…”). With a Gem or agent, check you opened it, not a normal chat.
Make it yours
Use the skill on a real job and tell the AI what you didn’t like. Paste your website or Google Business Profile link, and ask it to update the skill with your details. Save the new version and test it again. See Customise a skill.
Remove or update a skill
- Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini skills: click … (or More) next to the skill and delete it, then upload the new zip. In ChatGPT, ask your admin if you can’t delete it.
- Project, Gem or Copilot agent: replace the old instructions with the new text and save.
Keep only one version of each skill switched on.
For Swiss businesses
- The skills are already set up for Switzerland. They use CHF, 8.1% VAT, dates as 09.10.2026 and Swiss spelling, and answer in German, French, Italian or English, whichever you write in.
- Use a business plan for customer data. Claude Team and ChatGPT Business don’t train on your content by default (Claude pricing, OpenAI Help). On a personal plan, switch training off first: see What you can safely share with AI.
- Read a skill before you install it. Anthropic advises this, because it doesn’t review uploaded skills (Claude docs). It takes about 2 minutes.
- A skill sends nothing to BizzyAI. It is plain text: no code, no tracking.
