AI search visibility check: find out what ChatGPT and Google tell customers about you

Customers now ask ChatGPT or Google’s AI “Who is a good electrician in Winterthur?”, and the answer can name a competitor or give your old opening hours. The AI search visibility check skill gives you the exact questions to ask, scores the answers you paste back against your real facts, and lists what to fix first.

What it does

  • Collects your reference facts first: exact business name, trade, address and towns you serve, phone, website, opening hours and top three services. It shows them back for you to confirm.
  • Writes six questions in your customers’ language with your name, trade and town filled in: two discovery questions (“Who is a good [trade] in [town]?”), two on facts (hours, address and phone), one on your offer and prices, and one on reviews.
  • Tells you how to run them: each question in each tool, in a new chat, with ChatGPT Search switched on, then paste back the full answer and its list of sources.
  • Scores every answer you paste: whether you’re named (2, 1 or 0 points), which facts are correct, wrong or missing (wrong text quoted exactly), which websites were cited, and which competitors were named.
  • Totals it up as a visibility score and an accuracy score in percent.
  • Ranks the fixes, most important first. Wrong hours, address or phone come first, then the source cited most often with wrong data, then missing mentions, services and reviews. Each fix says where to make it and which answer it affects.
  • Ends with a date for the next check, one month later, because changes take weeks to show.

It can’t see what other AI tools answer, so it never guesses or simulates their answers. It scores only what you paste, and marks the rest “not checked”. It promises no rankings and never suggests fake reviews, keyword stuffing or paying an unknown directory. It prepares a report only and changes no listings.

When to use it

  • You want to know what ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google AI Overviews tell customers about your business.
  • A customer turned up at the wrong time or called an old number, and you want to find where the wrong facts come from.
  • You want a monthly check that shows whether your fixes are working.
  • You’re asking “How do I get found in ChatGPT?” and want to start from facts, not guesses.

Once you know which facts are wrong or missing, the AI-friendly FAQ writer writes the website text that fixes them.
