Inbox triage: see at a glance which emails need you today

After a weekend or a week off, 80 unread emails hide the three that matter. The inbox triage skill reads the batch and sorts every email into four groups, so you see who is waiting for you before you open a single message.

What it does

  • Sorts each email or conversation into one of four groups: Reply today, Waiting, For information and Junk.
  • Gives every email a one-line reason, based only on what the email says.
  • Suggests one next step for each email in “Reply today” and “Waiting”, for example “Confirm the delivery date” or “Chase on Thursday if no answer”.
  • Lists warning signs in a separate Watch out list: requests to change bank details, unusual payment requests, pressure from someone claiming to be the boss, links asking for passwords, attachments from unknown senders.
  • Treats anything from the tax office, the AHV compensation office, courts or the debt collection office (Betreibungsamt) as urgent by default.
  • Puts unsure cases in the more urgent group, marked “(unsure)”.
  • Leaves out IBANs, passwords, salary and health details. It writes “contains bank details” instead.
  • Uses Swiss defaults: dates like 06.10.2026, times like 14:30, CHF with an apostrophe (1’250.00), and the language you write in. Email subjects stay in their original language.

It reads and sorts only. It never replies to, forwards, moves, labels, archives or deletes an email, even in a connected mailbox.

When to use it

  • You start the day and want to know which emails need an answer before 10:00.
  • You come back from holiday to a full inbox.
  • You want a Monday email summary that covers the whole inbox, not only the replies you owe.
  • You worry about a fake invoice or a supplier “changing their IBAN” slipping through.
  • You share an info@ mailbox and want to see who should handle what.

If supplier invoices pile up in the same inbox, the supplier invoice extractor reads them and lists amounts, VAT and due dates in one table.
