GPT-6 arrives in ChatGPT for every user, with answers that can include charts and calculators

Comparing two offers often means copying a ChatGPT answer into Excel. ChatGPT can now build the comparison or calculator for you, right in the chat. The new model, GPT-6, also starts answering sooner.

What happened

On 7 October, OpenAI released GPT-6 in ChatGPT worldwide (OpenAI):

• Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise run on GPT-6 Sol from 7 October. On Enterprise, your administrator decides when to switch it on.
• Free and Go get GPT-6 Luna from 8 October.
• Intelligent UI: answers can now include diagrams, charts, buttons, forms and small calculators you can click and type into. ChatGPT picks the format itself and answers in plain text when that is more useful.
• Faster answers: GPT-6 starts writing while it’s still thinking. Answers that need a web search start 44% sooner on average than with GPT-5.6.

Why it matters for your business

Many small jobs that used to end in a spreadsheet can now stay in the chat. Ask for a calculator that compares two leasing offers, a break-even check for a new product, or a chart of last quarter’s sales from a pasted table. You type your own numbers into the calculator and see the result straight away. Your team gets the new model with no setup and no new licence.

The Swiss angle

• Available in Switzerland: yes, on every plan, including Free.
• Languages: ChatGPT is available in German, French and Italian. To switch, go to Settings > General > Language.
• Data: on Free, Go and Plus, turn off Improve the model for everyone under Settings > Data controls before pasting customer or sales figures. On Business and Enterprise, OpenAI does not use your content for training by default.

What to do

Next time someone on your team starts a quick comparison in Excel, have them ask ChatGPT first. Paste the figures and type: “Build me a calculator that compares these two offers over three years.” Check the totals once against your own sums before you rely on it.
